That woman laying on the ground grieving for the loss of her sixteen year old daughter is my friend and co-worker Nardyne Jefferies. That was the photo on the front page of the Washington Post. The crushing grief of the knowledge her child was shot and was most likely dead.
Does it hurt to see someone I literally spend almost eight hours a day, five days a week ten feet from plastered on the front page of the newspaper? Hell yes.
I'm still to numb and angry to say much more. But god I am sick of journalists.
